I have always been fascinated and in awe by how styles and fashion have evolved over the years. Looking back as a child I could not wait to catch the next showing of Fashion Television or read Glamour Magazine’s or InStyle’s latest issue. I can also reminisce the times I would cut up my Mother’s old clothes just to re-invent them into something more “stylish”.
I dreamt of having my life take me to exotic places where people’s expressions of style were interpreted in many different ways. These were the people who wore amazing clothes, had amazing style genes and worked it like it was nobody’s business.
It’s not surprising then that I am now in school studying something I’m truly passionate about. I take pride in putting together complete looks that are both classic and fashionable while staying away from trendy. Sexy, fresh, young, elegant, confident and together are words I use to describe my style genes and fashion moods.
Much of the inspiration behind attending Humber College’s Fashion Arts Program has to be credited to my good friend Diana Pemberton who encouraged me to follow my style genes and share with others. Thanks Diana for providing that invaluable encouragement I so needed and that last push to jump in feet first. Thank you for encouraging me to share my passion.
